2.1 Local storage

TK-Digital works without a user account and without a server of its own. Everything you enter, i.e. name, vehicles and number plates, odometer readings, places, activity times, remarks, signatures and the change log, is stored exclusively in the app’s local storage on your device. We have no access to this data. It only leaves your device if you share it yourself (see 2.4) or report a bug to us (see 2.5).

The data remains stored until you delete it in the app or remove the app from your device. Whether it is included in an iCloud or iTunes backup of your device depends on your iOS settings; Apple’s privacy policy applies to such backups.

2.2 Location and place names (OpenStreetMap Nominatim)

Only when you tap the location icon next to the place where a journey starts or ends does the app ask for your permission and determine your location once. The coordinates are then sent to the Nominatim service of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, to look up a place name. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted as well. The OpenStreetMap Foundation temporarily stores requests in server logs.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give via the iOS location permission and can withdraw there at any time. An adequacy decision of the EU Commission exists for the United Kingdom. You can always enter the place by hand without using your location. The app never requests your location in the background. 2.3 Notifications

Reminders, for example about breaks or unsigned sheets, are scheduled as local notifications on your device. There are no push notifications sent via a server. You grant and revoke permission in the iOS settings.

2.4 Export and sharing

The app creates PDF, Excel, CSV and JSON files on your device. If you share a file via the iOS share sheet, e.g. via AirDrop, mail or to a printer, you decide on the recipient and the channel yourself. The privacy policy of the app or service you use applies.

2.5 Reporting a bug

You can describe a problem to us via “Report a bug” in the app. Only when you send the report yourself does the app transmit to our server: your description, optionally your email address for follow-up questions, and technical details (app version, iOS version, device model, language setting and the screen on which the error occurred). Your sheets, signatures and other app data are not transmitted. The IP address is processed only briefly in memory to limit abuse and is not stored with the report.

We use this information solely to fix the bug and, where applicable, to reply to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or point (b) if you provide your email address). We delete the report once it has been dealt with, at the latest after twelve months.

2.6 Font

On launch, the app loads the “Figtree” font from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process, including to the USA. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent appearance (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

2.7 No analytics, no advertising

The app contains no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising and no in-app purchases. No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

2.8 App Store

When you download the app, Apple processes data such as your Apple ID and the purchase under its own responsibility. Apple may provide us with anonymous statistics and crash reports if you have agreed to share them with developers in your iOS settings. See Apple’s privacy policy for details.

3. This website

3.1 Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When you visit it, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer, and browser and operating system. This serves the secure and stable operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless the provider applies a shorter period. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. SeeHetzner’s privacy policy for details.

3.2 No cookies, no external content

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics tools and loads no third-party content. The font is served from our own server.

3.3 Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We delete the message once the request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to

• access the data stored about you (Art. 15),
• rectification (Art. 16) and erasure (Art. 17),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21),
• withdraw your consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

Since the app data is stored only on your device, you can view, export and delete it there yourself at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live. The authority responsible for us is the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte), Devrientstraße 5, 01067 Dresden, Germany,www.datenschutz.sachsen.de.

5. Changes

We update this policy when the app, the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
